Marriott

Marriott recently announced the creation of the Marriott Global Cleanliness Council – consisting of in-house and outside experts in food and water safety, hygiene and infection prevention, and hotel operations. The new standards will be designed to minimize risk and enhance safety for the company’s guests and the 750,000 people worldwide who wear the Marriott name badge.

While Marriott’s council develops its work, the company has initiated plans to roll out enhanced technologies at its properties over the next few months, including electrostatic sprayers that allow for touchless disinfecting capabilities. The magnetically charged droplets produced by the electrostatic sprayers seek out and coat hard to reach areas and surfaces typically missed in standard cleaning processes.

Cunard

For over a century and a half, the iconic ships of Cunard have defined sophisticated ocean travel. They have always been The Most Famous Ocean Liners in the World®.

Silversea

Since its inception in the early 90s, Silversea Cruises has been recognised as the gold standard in luxury cruising, acclaimed both for its legendary European lifestyle and global reach of destinations. The cruise line was the brainchild of Antonio Lefebvre d’Ovidio, a respected Italian jurist and maritime law professor. His idea was to create a new class of elite vessels designed with more space for fewer guests and with the highest levels of personalised service. Lefebvre’s maritime background led to his involvement in shipping and eventually the cruise industry.

AmaWaterways

Family-owned and operated, AmaWaterways was founded in 2002 by three families; however, our river cruise story began well before that. Co-Founder and President Rudi Schreiner was born in Vienna, at the heart of the Danube. His love of design drew him to architecture, but his even greater love of travel drew him to places far and wide. In 1975, he traveled to South America for a journalism assignment on the Amazon. It was here he designed his first ship, using what he could find to build a raft that would take him up and down the river during the next 7 months. Soon thereafter, he started working in travel, creating unique tour experiences in Europe.

G Adventures

Changing the world through travel: that’s been our goal since 1990. Sure, call us dreamers (wouldn’t be the first time), but that idea has been at the heart of everything we’ve ever done and has helped us grow into one of the biggest adventure travel companies on the planet. *woot woot*

But, to us, being big is meaningless if it comes at the expense of making someone else feel small. You know what… let’s drop the metaphors and get straight to the point: G Adventures is a social enterprise as much as we are a small group travel company. We’ve been pioneers of community tourism since the day we first headed out into the world 30 years ago. What does that mean? That our tours, created by building meaningful relationships with local communities, directly benefit the people and places we visit.

We’ve always believed travel can help local communities, Indigenous peoples, women, youth — anyone who has traditionally been marginalized or undervalued. Because there's incredible power in being part of something bigger than yourself.
