Well-Being Travel Program Styles

Well-Being Travel Program Styles

Wellness vacations and the programs they offer come in almost as many different styles as there are travelers. There are those which aim to address serious health issues, be it physical such as targeting obesity, improving sleep quality, cutting down alcohol or giving up smoking. Then there are those which address mental and emotional needs, this could be managing major life changes, grief, or behavioral concerns, to build resilience, de-stress or simply to relax and reset. All area’s vital to an individual’s overall well-being.

Generally, the program styles follow a similar format, beginning with a professional (medical, fitness or even psychological) consultation where the in-house wellness consultants then tailor the experience to suit the individual’s goals and preferences. As well as specific private, one-to-one sessions, activities, and treatments there are usually daily group classes and talks to join in as well.

Common well-being travel program styles include:

  • Fitness
  • Weight-management or weight-loss
  • Detox
  • Yoga and Pilates
  • Mindfulness and Meditation
  • Anti-ageing
  • Nutrition focused
  • Sports enhancement or optimal performance
  • Cancer recovery

There are many others including thalassotherapy, tension relief, spiritual, art, and sound therapy programs to name just a few. New programs are often created to address the current needs of travelers as they evolve. Not unexpectedly, in 2020 there has been a huge trend in programs focused on immunity boosting and building mental resilience, to help individuals deal with the physical and mental conditions caused by the global COVID-19 outbreak.

For this reason, it is likely your clients could benefit from a stress management, life coaching or emotional healing vacation. These are ideal for guests who are feeling overwhelmed, want, or may need to change career paths due to corporate re-structuring or even devastation of their industry due to the pandemic. As well as, those seeking to improve personal relationships, or who feel they have simply lost their direction, will also benefit.

These well-being travel program styles help your clients get back on track to enjoying a fulfilling life. Bringing clarity and happiness with guidance by an expert in their field as part of their wellness program matched to their own life goals. Teaching them the skills to help them to bounce back when times are tough.

Complimented by a wide range of holistic therapies and healing methods including counselling, mentoring, yoga, acupuncture and Ayurvedic spa therapies; the journey will be different for each client as emotional resilience and healing is a very personal process however the dedicated well-being vacation and experienced facilitators create the space to discover what is needed for each individual.

Well-being travelers expect to return home feeling  calm, strong, with a balanced perspective and tools to integrate their new learnings into their everyday lives, and are seeking your expertise to help them discover which style suits their needs best, and then matching them with their perfect well-being travel program for the ultimate well-being vacation.
